A fresh type of nutcracker. Most nut crackers share the same design and hence the same problems. Nutshells all over the place, almonds impossible to crack and the always lurking danger of getting your fingers in the way.
Just put the nut in the code, cover the opening and press the handle. This uniquedesign and well-built construction is what made Drosselmeyer a favourite among nut-lovers.
Drosselmeyer is easily disassembled for cleaning and storing purposes.
Push the button and lift the handle loose. The handle can also be detached by pressing on its lower part. Blow away or clean off shells and crumbs. Reattach in the opposite order.
The Brazil-nut problem.
Two tracks in the cone keep the notorious but beloved Brazil-nut in place during the cracking.
Put the back of the nut between the tracks and "bend" the shell up carefully applying a firm pressure.
In heart research the health benefits of nuts ha been long known.
Eating a moderate amount of nuts daily is said to decrease heart problems such as thrombus and disturbed heart rhythm in half.
Furthermore nuts are known to help in joint-pains and increased cholesterol levels.
The result of several studies in large population groups show that nut eaters often cut the risk of cardiovascular disease in half.
A good objective is to eat at least 15 nuts a day where hazel, walnut and almonds are among the best and healthiest of the nut family. See nearest health food shop for more information.
